The Made in Vancouver Awards celebrate the best of the city’s maker culture
Vancouver Magazine’s Made in Vancouver Awards spotlight the city’s best homegrown goods, from artisanal hot sauces to handcrafted bags to eco-chic outerwear. This brand new awards program is your chance to share your locally made products with our esteemed judges and our editorial team; winners will be featured in the July/August issue of the magazine.

Entry fee is $50 per product.
Entries close February 15, 2019, 11:59 p.m.
Judging takes place in March with guest judges for each category. Shortlist will be announced in April; winners will be featured in the July/August issue of Vancouver Magazine.
Food (sauces, oils/vinegars; preserves and spreads; sweet and savoury snacks)
Drink (cocktail mixes; shrubs and bitters; spirits; non-alcoholic bevs)
Style (fashion; accessories; jewellery)
Home (tableware; pottery; baskets; textiles; décor; lighting; woodcraft)
Beauty (makeup; skincare; haircare; self-care)
Fitness (athletic accessories; outdoor gear)
Wildcard (anything else!)
The application is a three-part process:
2. We will email you the entry form to fill out (it could take up to 15 minutes—grab a cup of tea). Complete the form and submit it.
3. Once you've completed the production submission form, you will receive an email with instructions for mailing one to three product samples (dependant on category).
How innovative is the product (fresh, forward-thinking design, unique niche in the field or market, solves problems creatively)? Points will also be awarded for sustainable design.
How successful is the execution of the work (selection, quality, combination of materials, unique techniques and processes, technical proficiency)?
The work will also be evaluated by its functional merits, and for its poetic value/design aesthetic.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE is February 15, 2019.
PRODUCT DELIVERY DEADLINES is February 19, 2019 for the Beauty, Style, Wildcard, Home and Fitness categories. For perishable products, please deliver up 9:30 a.m. on our judging date of March 1 for the Drinks category, or 9:30 a.m. on our judging date of March 8 for the Food category.
FINALISTS will be announced by Vancouver Magazine on or before May 1, 2019.
WINNERS will be announced by Vancouver Magazine on or before July 8, 2019.
