The Made in Vancouver Awards celebrate the best of the city’s maker culture
Vancouver magazine’s Made in Vancouver Awards spotlight the city’s best homegrown goods, from artisanal hot sauces to handcrafted bags to eco-chic outerwear. Now in its third year, our awards program is your chance to share your locally made products with our editorial judging team; winners will be featured in the July/August issue of the magazine.
Entry fee is $70 per product.
Entries close April 2, 2021, 11:59 p.m.
Judging takes place in May. Shortlist will be announced in June; winners will be featured in the July/August issue of Vancouver Magazine. See last year's winners here!
Food (sub-categories: Savoury and Sweet) May include sauces, oils/vinegars; preserves and spreads; baked goods and snacks, etc.
Drink (sub-categories: Beer, Spirits and Zero-Proof) May include cocktail mixes; shrubs and bitters; spirits; sodas; kombuchas, etc.
Style Fashion; accessories; jewellery, etc.
Home Tableware; pottery; baskets; textiles; décor; lighting; woodcraft, etc.
Beauty Makeup; skincare; haircare; self-care, etc.
Wildcard (anything else!)

2. Ship us your product samples, if required—different categories have different requirements, so please review our Shipping Info page carefully!
3. Wait for good news from our judges!
How innovative is the product (fresh, forward-thinking design, unique niche in the field or market, solves problems creatively)? Points will also be awarded for sustainable design.
How successful is the execution of the work (selection, quality, combination of materials, unique techniques and processes, technical proficiency)?
The work will also be evaluated by its functional merits, and for its poetic value/design aesthetic.

PRODUCT DELIVERY DEADLINE Beauty, food and drink samples can be dropped off through 3:00 p.m. on April 16 , 2021. Our office is open to accept courier deliveries or drop-offs between 9:30 and 3:00 p.m. weekdays. Those dropping off freshly made food for judging should deliver between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on April 16.
FINALISTS will be announced by Vancouver Magazine on or before June 25, 2021.
WINNERS will be announced by Vancouver Magazine on or before July 8, 2021. (Date is subject to change.)
